Welcome to the Defense Logistics Agency’s Facebook page.

DLA was founded in 1961 and today is home to 25,000 civilian and military employees in most states and 28 foreign countries. The Agency’s worldwide distribution depots supply almost every consumable item America’s military services need to operate, from groceries to jet fuel. Those supplies include 86 percent of the service’s repair parts, 100 percent of subsistence, fuel, medical, clothing and construction material.

DLA has supported every major war and contingency operation of the past five decades.

OPERATIONS SECURITY (OPSEC)

Operations Security (OPSEC) includes any information including, but not limited to, the movement of soldiers in and out of theaters of operation, current and ongoing military operations, or tactics, techniques and procedures poses a security risk to soldiers. This risk needs to be mitigated at all times, and any information containing dates, complete names, and the locations of soldiers or their immediate family, and military operations needs to be guarded and kept confidential at all times. This is a public Web site and as such there is no way to control whoever may view the information that is posted.

If you have photos of DLA and its activities and people, please send them with captions identifying everyone in the photo, where it was taken, who took it and what is happening to interact@dla.mil Submission photos become the property of DLA, allowing use in publications, websites and other communication vehicles. A security review of each submission will be conducted. Watch the page to see if your pictures get posted.
