Founded in the 1920s by Harald Howe, HOWE a/s is one of the pioneers within the design and development of multifunctional and space-saving furniture – especially recognised for design icons such as the 40/4 chair and the Tempest flip-top table.

With a design philosophy deeply rooted in the Bauhaus tradition HOWE has a strong focus on design, simplicity, quality and functionality. We are passionate about achieving the best results in architecture while respecting our surroundings.

We strive to provide unlimited freedom from restrictions, in turn creating the right conditions for freedom of thought. We always listen and think freely so that we can understand our clients' needs and offer solutions which always enhance the architecture and optimise the surrounding space for years to come – resulting in positive experiences for architects, customers and the people who live in and work with our designs.
